At 07:58 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the 5700 block of Simmons in reference to a burglary of a motor vehicle that had already occurred. The complainant stated an unknown person rummaged through his vehicle and removed some change and a laptop.

An officer was dispatched to the 4000 block of Browning in reference to found property. The officer met with the reportee that located the property. During a vehicle check of the area, the officer located a burglarized vehicle. The owner was notified and a report initiated.

An officer was dispatched to WUPD to meet with a reportee in reference to a theft. The reportee stated that an unknown person removed some jewelry from her home without permission.

At 4:42 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 5300 block of Mercer in reference to a burglary of a motor vehicle. Upon arrival of the officer, the complainant stated that an unknown person smashed his rear window and removed two items.

Traffic Violation 

An officer observed a vehicle make an illegal turn in the 4100 block of Judson. The vehicle also had an expired registration. A traffic stop was initiated, and the officer discovered the driver had a suspended license and no insurance. The driver was arrested.

Criminal Mischief 

At 10:10 a.m., an officer arrived in the parking lot of WUPD and discovered a red fender placed on the hood of a police car. The police vehicle sustained minor damages. This case is under investigation.

At 01:00 a.m., a WUPD officer met a Pasadena Police Officer in the 1200 block of Davis to take custody of an individual with WUPD warrants. The individual was transported to WUPD Jail and booked in.

At 11:01 a.m., an officer was dispatched to 2605 W. Holcombe in reference to a warrant pickup. WUPD Officer met with a HPD Officer to take custody of the individual.

An officer was dispatched to the 5600 block of Kirby in reference to possible shop lifting. The officer met with the reportee who advised that an individual removed items without their permission.

At 12:49 p.m., an officer was flagged down in the parking lot of 4210 Bellaire. The reportee advised that someone entered her vehicle and removed her purse without permission.

At 10:21 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the 3000 block of Amherst in reference to a fraudulent check. The reportee advised that someone forged her signature on the check.

Theft

At 5:14 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 3200 block of Robinhood in reference to a theft in progress. Reportee observed a black male remove a bicycle from a driveway and leave. Officers were able to locate and the suspect with the stolen bicycle. The suspect was arrested.

Possession of Narcotics 

At 5:56 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 5600 block of Kirby for a report of shoplifters. The reportee advised there were two females inside shoplifting. Upon arrival, the officer approached the females as they were leaving. One suspect identified herself with a false name and date of birth. She was also found to be in possession of a controlled substance. She was arrested, and both were issued criminal trespass warnings.

Warrant Arrest 

At 7:45 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the intersection of 610 and Fannin to meet with a Pearland Police Officer.  That officer had an individual in custody with West U warrants. The individual was released to the custody of the West U officer and transported to WUPD Jail for booking.

Family Violence 

At 10:27 a.m., officers responded to the 6400 block of Belmont in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim. The victim advised that he had been assaulted by a family member.

At 12:00 p.m., an officer met with a HPD officer in the 2600 block of Southwest Freeway to take custody of an individual with WUPD warrants. The officer took custody of the individual, and transported her to WUPD for booking.

Failure to Stop and Give Information

At 1:36 p.m., officers were dispatched to the intersection of University and Rutgers for a hit and run. A witness observed the suspect vehicle hit the other vehicle. The suspect left the scene and the witness followed. The suspect drove to the 3800 block of Bellaire and exited his vehicle. The suspect fled from police on foot. The suspect was located hiding in a backyard. The suspect was arrested.

At 6:00 p.m., an officer was dispatched to WUPD in reference to an accident in the 4000 block of Bellaire on 5/3/12. The gathered the information necessary for a report.

At 11:00 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the 3900 block of University in reference to suspicious activity. The reportee advised that for the last 3 years, the same sprinkler head is removed or damaged by an unknown person.

At 12:42 p.m., an officer was dispatched to WUPD to meet with a HPD officer who had a person in custody with WUPD warrants. The officer took custody and booked the person into jail.

Possession of Marijuana 

At 11:46 p.m., an officer made contact with two individuals sitting in a vehicle in the 3700 block of Tangley. Upon making contact, the officer noticed they had slurred speech. The officer discovered open containers of alcohol in the backseat of the vehicle. After a search of the vehicle, officers located marijuana. An arrest for possession was made.

An officer was dispatched to WUPD in reference to an assault. The victim advised she had been assaulted by a family member.

Warrant Arrest 

At 3:31 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the Harris County Jail Facility to pick up a prisoner with West U warrants. The officer arrived and took custody of the prisoner. The prisoner was transported to WUPD Jail and booked in.

Possession of Narcotics     

An officer conducted a traffic stop in the 3000 block of Amherst for a tail light malfunction and expired registration. During the course of the traffic stop, the driver was found to have four arrest warrants with West U. The driver was arrested and transported to WUPD Jail. During the booking process, the officer found a controlled substance inside the driver’s purse. The driver was then charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Theft 

At 01:24 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 4000 block of Arnold in reference to a theft of vehicle tires/wheels in progress. The officers arrived in the area and were able to locate the suspects’ vehicle. Three suspects were arrested and charged with felony theft.

Traffic Violations    

At 03:55 a.m., an officer stopped a vehicle that ran a stop sign at Belmont and W. Holcombe. The driver was found to be driving without a license, and the passenger was intoxicated. Both parties were arrested.

At 03:36 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the Harris County Inmate Processing Center (IPC), to pick up a prisoner with West U warrants. The prisoner was transported to WUPD Jail and booked in.

At 09:02 a.m., an officer was dispatched to West U City Hall in reference to a disruptive individual. Upon arrival, officers were able to detect a strong odor of alcohol. The individual showed signs of being intoxicated and was placed into custody.

At 06:11 p.m., an officer was dispatched to WUPD to meet with a complainant in reference to their vehicle being sprayed with an unknown substance by an unknown person. The vehicle was parked in the 6600 block of Sewanee at the time of the incident.

Driving While License Suspended 

At 5:06 p.m., an officer observed a vehicle traveling southbound in the 6100 block of Auden with an expired registration and inspection stickers. The officer initiated a traffic stop in the 6400 block of Edloe. After further investigation, it was discovered that the driver was driving with a suspended license. The driver was arrested.

Failure to Identify

At 5:08 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 4000 block of Bellaire in reference to a minor accident. Upon talking with the parties involved, the officer discovered that the driver of one vehicle did not have any identification. The driver did provide a name and date of birth to the officer. Through the investigation, it was determined that the driver provided false information. The driver was arrested for failure to identify.

At 10:51 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the WUPD to meet with a complainant in reference to a possible assault. The complainant advised the officer that a family member might have been assaulted by another family member. This case is under investigation.

Suspicious Person 

At 11:39 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 6600 block of Wakeforest for a report of a suspicious person on a bicycle. The officer located the person in the 6300 block of Wakeforest trying to ride his bicycle. Upon making contact, the officer noticed a strong odor of alcohol on the person’s breath. The person had slurred speech and swayed constantly while standing. The person was arrested for public intoxication.

Warrant Arrest     

At 9:14 p.m., an officer was dispatched to WUPD to meet with a TX DPS Trooper with an individual in custody for West U warrants. The West U officer took custody of the individual and booked him in.

At 5:34 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the Colonial Park Pool in reference to a burglary of a motor vehicle. The reportee advised that an unknown person smashed her window and took her personal belongings from inside her vehicle.

At 6:07 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the intersection of Belmont and Pittsburg for a possible hit and run. Upon arrival, the officer noticed a dark colored SUV that fit the description of the vehicle seen leaving the scene. The vehicle was stopped, and it was discovered the driver had struck a parked vehicle in the 6400 block of Vanderbilt. Officers also found the driver to be in possession of marijuana. The driver was arrested.

At 8:19 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 6100 block of Charlotte in reference to a burglary of a motor vehicle. The reportee advised that someone entered his vehicle and removed personal property without his consent.

Suspicious Person 

At 10:17 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 5600 block of Spelman for a report of suspicious persons. Upon officers arrival, the persons fled. Officers discovered that the lock on a parked vehicle has been damaged.

At 12:43 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 6600 block of Westchester in reference to a domestic disturbance in progress. Officers arrived and separated the two parties. The victim told police that the suspect grabbed her cell phone and disconnected her 911 call for help. The suspect was arrested.

Warrant Arrest

At 3:19 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the IH 610 and Memorial Drive to meet a Memorial Villages Police Officer. The officer had an individual in custody with West U warrants. The individual was placed into custody and transported to WUPD Jail.

At 3:11 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the 5600 block of Kirby in reference to a burglary alarm. Upon arrival, it was discovered that the front glass door was shattered with a brick. Evidence and information was gathered for a report.

Credit Card Abuse

At 6:15 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 6400 block of Community in reference to credit card abuse. The officer met with the victim who stated that an unknown person somehow obtained her credit card information and made three unauthorized purchases since 9/16/11. The officer collected information for a report.
