InstantNewsWestU.com is offering free firewood to West U residents ages 55 and older.
After the 2011 drought, InstantNewsNetwork.com’s Managing Partner George Boehme collected, cut, split and seasoned several dead Live Oak trees that the city cut down on University Boulevard.
“It was unfortunate to see so many of our beautiful trees die during the drought,” said Boehme. “I saw this as a way to turn a negative into a positive by providing the wood to our West U seniors. The Live Oak firewood has now been seasoned and is ready to be burned.”
The firewood will be delivered to West U residents 55 and older and is available on a first come, first served basis. There are four cords available, which will provide enough wood for about 20 residents.
“Interested residents should contact me as soon as possible, as this wood will go quickly,” said Boehme, adding that it can be delivered this weekend.
Any resident who is interested in free firewood should contact Boehme directly at 713-540-0293 or sales@instantnewswestu.com.
