In its seventh season, Challenger Football and Cheer continues to put smiles on the faces of children who otherwise would not have the opportunity to play.
Strake Jesuit hosted the season opener on Sept. 29 and although the skies were cloudy, the Challenger players and cheerleaders, along with their Crusader buddies, had a wonderful time.
Strake Jesuit student Andrew Donnell sang the National Anthem followed by Strake Jesuit student Zack Stockton’s invocation. Athletes Taking Action, National Honor Society and National Charity League volunteers assisted as well. The Woman’s Hospital of Texas donated pink and green pom poms for the fans as they help bring awareness to the cause.
