West U Twins End Fencing Season Ranked First and Second in U.S.

The final national rankings for the 2011-2012 fencing season were published yesterday and West University’s Sean and Nicolas Wilson finished first and second in men’s epee youth 12 and under.

The Wilson twins started competing on a national level three years ago for the 2009-2010 season.

They surprised everyone when they took the top two spots in men’s epee youth 10 and under that year.  Since that time, the twins have carried 67 national medals home to West U.

“Fencing is a fun sport.  I’ve made friends in fencing from all over the United States,” Sean Wilson said.

“Fencing is fun to practice and fun to compete,” Nicolas Wilson said. “I’m always pushing to take it to the next level.  I want to keep improving.”
