Crime Report: West U Resident Finds Man Passed Out in Front of Home

Theft

At 9:58 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the Police department at 3814 University in reference to a theft that had already occurred.  The complainant stated an ex-employee had stolen a blank check and cashed it in his name without his consent.

Public Intoxication

At 4:15 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 5600 block of Buffalo Speedway in regards to an unconscious male subject.  Dispatch advised that the reportee stated that there was a male subject lying on the floor in front of her residence.  Upon the officer’s arrival, West University medics attended to the male subject. Upon further investigation, the medics advised the officer that the subject was good in health and only appeared to be intoxicated. The officer then placed the subject in custody for offense of public intoxication. The subject was then transported along with his personal belongings to the West University Place jail where he was booked and processed without incident.

Criminal Mischief

An officer was dispatched to the 2600 block of Bissonnet concerning a call regarding the destruction/damage of private property.  Upon arrival, the officer met with the reportee who advised that an unknown person(s) had knocked out the driver’s side front and rear windows of a vehicle.  The officer obtained the necessary information to complete the report and provided the reportee with the case number assigned to the incident.
