A 2008 black Hummer was stolen outside of a West U home in the 2700 block of Cason on Aug. 15.
The resident reported to police that he last saw the vehicle at 10 p.m. on Aug. 14 and found it missing in the morning of Aug. 15.
The Hummer was locked and parked on the street and the owner had the keys.
The resident also left his driver’s license and a credit card in the center console of the vehicle.
The credit card was used at a gas station after the vehicle was stolen.
The Hummer was recovered by the Houston Police Department on Aug. 21 around 11 p.m.
There was no damage to the vehicle, police said.
There are currently no suspects at this time, but police are looking into who used the credit card.
This incident is under investigation.
