A 19-year-old West University Place resident was assaulted over statements posted on Facebook.
Heather Vannote, a 20-year-old Houston resident, was arrested and charged with assault for beating up another female over something that was posted on Facebook on June 15.
Vannote walked into a residence in the 3100 block of Jarrard and hit the West U resident in the face and ribs for posting something about her on Facebook. The victim had bruising and marks on her face from the assault.
Vannote was arrested and transported to the Harris County Sheriff’s Department.
