BJ Baker, 25, was arrested for carrying a six-inch knife in her purse on May 9.
Baker was riding in a vehicle with Johnny Soria, 33, when West U police pulled them over for driving with expired registration in the 4200 block of Bissonnet.
Soria was arrested for driving with a suspended license. Baker told police she forgot she had a knife in her purse and said she’d had it in her purse for several weeks.
Both Baker and Soria had criminal histories.
On May 10, Laura Kelly, a 29-year-old Houston resident, was arrested for driving with expired registration, an expired driver’s license and no insurance.
West U police pulled Kelly over in the 3100 block of University because the year on her license plate was covered up with the plate cover. Her registration expired in 2007 and her driver’s license expired in 2008.
On May 12, John Williams, a 55-year-old Southside Place resident, was arrested for three outstanding warrants from West U.
Police pulled Williams over in the 5900 block of Auden because his vehicle had a defective tail light.
The three warrants he was arrested for were for expired registration, expired inspection and failure to appear.
