Volunteers worked to arrange the Crystal Ballroom of The Rice Hotel into a silent auction mecca on Friday in preparation for the Park Lovers Crystal Ball tomorrow. The annual ball is the main fundraiser for Friends of West University Place Parks.
About 15 people from the event’s committee and the Friends board have volunteered many hours this week prepping the final details for the ball, said co-chair Kara Samples.
“It’s a lot of work put into it and it’s almost here,” Samples said. “Just to see it be put into fruition will be nice.”
