Tadpole Troopers Classes Teach Kids About Nature

Little ones whose parents want to instill a “lifelong love of the outdoors” are invited to a class this weekend at the Houston Arboretum.

Tadpole Troopers classes allow kids ages 3 to 5 to explore nature and become engaged about the outdoors. In the class this weekend, children will read “Make Way for Ducklings” and then learn more about how birds adapt to their environments. The class is Nov. 14 from 9 to 10:15 a.m. and again from 10:45 a.m. to noon.

One parent or another adult can accompany each child to the class. The cost is $13 for members or $26 for nonmembers. People can register at www.houstonarboretum.org/tadpoletroopersform.asp. Other classes in this series occur on Nov. 20 and 21.
